Chelsea Cain
Chelsea Cain lives in Portland, Ore., where she is a freelance writer and
dreams of a large wedding at the
Church of Elvis . She is the author of Dharma Girl,
a memoir of her hippie girlhood, and the editor of the anthology
Wild Child: Girlhoods in the Counterculture. Her work has also been published
in Ms. Magazine, The Oregonian, and in two anthologies,
Sex and Single Girls and Family Travel: The Farther You Go, The Closer You Get. In
addition she writes regularly for The Portland Mercury, though mainly under a
pseudonym as she is very shy. She wants you to know that Elvis is
dead. Chelsea has written other travel articles
for VIA: Florence, Oregon: A Weekend
Getaway , and Portland's
Vacuum Museum .
