Lisa Crovo

From her office overlooking Beach Blanket Babylon Boulevard in North Beach, Lisa Crovo daydreams about being swept away on romantic excursions between updates of Insight Guides and Gayot's San Francisco Restaurants. No stranger to the nightlife, her tastes run from comedy club-hopping in Los Angeles to San Francisco's Alcazar Theatre where she met and interviewed randy British singer/songwriter Ray Davies of the Kinks. By day she plays it safe, and looks both ways before she crosses the street. On weekends, Lisa rockets out of the Bay Area in search of high culture in haunts such as Napa Valley's galleries—the Hess Collection and Clos Pegase.
