Bill Gottlieb has been writing and editing in the field of health and food for 25 years. He was the managing editor of Prevention magazine and, recently, wrote the self-care encyclopedia, Alternative Cures: From 300 of America's Top Doctors and Natural Healers, The Most Effective Natural Home Remedies for 160 Health Problems (Rodale, November 2000). Bill lives and works in Northern California, where he has ample opportunities to cure his cravings for California King Salmon and California-grown Hass avocados. Bill took his sweet tooth on tour for VIA and sampled chocolate delights at various locations. He also visited Ace-in-the-Hole, America's first (and just about only) cider pub in Sebastopol, Calif.
