Kris Wetherbee

Writer Kris Wetherbee seemed pretty eager to tackle a story on Roseburg, Ore. Maybe that's because, as a resident of Douglas County, she knew what the rest of us were missing. Or perhaps it had more to do with her love of nature and the chance to drive past camels, zebras, and giraffes. Either way, she managed to uncover the town's wild side.

Kris writes frequently in the areas of food, home and garden, and outdoor living, and even collaborates with her photographer husband, Rick, on occasion. She is the author of Oregon Farmers' Market Cookbook and Guide and Washington Farmers' Market Cookbook and Guide and has also written for such magazines as Sunset, Sierra, Audubon, Town & Country, Cooking Light, Woman's Day, Country Living, and Spa.
