"T. rex" puppet from Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman Montana

Paradoxically reptilian and huggable, this infant T. rex puppet from the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Mont., has plush yet credibly scaly skin crafted from synthetic fabrics (10 inches, $22). Slip in a hand to make the wide-eyed hatchling pop from its egg. On June 9, as part of its 50th anniversary gala, the museum is celebrating the opening of a new Hall of Giants with its Dinosaur Festival. (406) 994-2251, www.museumoftherockies.org.
