Farmer Gene Carsey outside of Fun Farm in Bend Oregon

It’s an antique store, a costume shop, a barnyard, a roadside attraction, Oz. Call it what you will, the FUN FARM, aka the Funny Farm, in Bend, Ore., is one of a kind. Stroll the Yellow Brick Road through a garden where bowling balls grow and chickens and goats roam around the heart-shaped Love Pond. Inside a red barn, shop for antiques, from Wizard of Oz collectibles to curios such as a fluoroscope (an X-ray machine for feet). You can also rent one of a thousand costumes and become a former president, a ballerina, a samurai warrior. . . . Off Highway 97. (541) 389-6391, www.funfarm.com.
