Airport pastimes

How do VIA readers spend airport downtime? Puzzle solving, people-watching, and brisk walking are always popular. Here are more ideas.

"We play Airport A to Z," writes Sheri Scarborough of Pleasanton, Calif. "B for baggage claim, X for X-ray machine."

"I write ‘thinking of you' cards," says Irene Willson of Orangevale, Calif. "

My kids and I round up luggage carts," says Dave Taube of Eugene, Ore. "We collect the deposits, then buy drinks and snacks."

"At the gate, ask around about the city where you're headed," suggests Russell Thompson of Santa Rosa, Calif. "You'll get great tips about what to see and do."

How do you find souvenirs worth keeping? Email otr@csaa.com. If we quote you, we'll send you $50 and a VIA T-shirt.
