Carson City, Nevada:
A Place to Relive History

Carson City Nevada Capitol Building

By Keri Modrall

See remnants of the town’s past at the Nevada State Museum (775-687-4810), housed in the former U.S. Mint. Gawk at equipment that helped mint more than $50 million in coins and walk through the replica ghost town. Or hit the Kit Carson Trail, a 2.5–mile tour of landmarks including the state capitol. Stop by the Nevada State Railroad Museum (775-687-6953) to see 65 vintage engines and railcars.
