Nothing says summer like a roadside farm stand overflowing with fresh-picked produce. Here are some of the West’s great places for juicy tomatoes and supersweet peaches.

ANDY’S ORCHARD Half Road in Morgan Hill, Calif. Andy Mariani grows almost 100 varieties of tree-ripened plums and peaches, on sale at one of Santa Clara County’s few remaining stands. Taste during monthly tours. (408) 782-7600, www.andysorchard.com.

DRY CREEK PEACH & PRODUCE Yoakim Bridge Road in Healdsburg, Calif. This all-organic stand, open weekends only, sells 30 varieties of peaches, as well as other stone fruits. (707) 433-8121, www.drycreekpeach.com.

THE FARM Highway 68 near Salinas, Calif. Farm tours and the giant cutouts of field workers by artist John Cerney enliven this spot, which offers a huge range of vegetables. (831) 455-2575,
www.thefarm-salinasvalley.com.

GOWAN’S OAK TREE Highway 128 near Philo, Calif. This Mendocino County stop has peaches, plums, and a picnic area—not to mention 65 varieties of apples. (707) 895-3353, www.apples4sale.com.

MANGO MAMA’S Kuhio Highway, Kilauea, Hawaii. This funky stand is striped bright pink. In season, pick up local mangoes, avocados, papayas, organic ginger, and more. (808) 828-1020.

SIMONIAN FARMS South Clovis Avenue in Fresno, Calif. You’ll find everything from grapes and figs to peppers and sweet onions on land the family has worked for generations. (559) 237-2294, www.simonianfarms.com.

SPRINGDALE FRUIT COMPANY Zion Park Boulevard in Springdale, Utah. Find a variety of organic fruit at this natural foods market. (435) 772-3222, www.springdalefruit.com.
